“I definitely have a location advantage, as my farm is about three kilometres from the factory in Hohenwestedt. If there is a delivery problem at short notice and I need a sample, I can just drive over. But it's not just the proximity that's very practical; I also appreciate the personal contact with the sales representatives, who give me good advice and support when there are special challenges. I like that.
All in all, I think the DMK product range is a success. And MILRAM is a good brand for me because it is a high-quality cheese that consumers like and that will always have a name in the future. And as far as cottage cheese is concerned, I'm delighted that such a traditional product is being rediscovered as a trend. This proves to me once again that quality always pays off.
I am a member of the advisory board and I feel that I am well received by the board and the management, which is something I pay a lot of attention to. This provides a good basis for discussion, especially when I have to mediate between farmers and DMK on difficult issues such as the low milk price. But a decisive step has been taken with the re-evaluation of the performance price, because not only the basic price is compared, but also the payout.
I want to stay with DMK and see the future of my business as secure. This also applies to my three children, who work in agriculture and of whom I am very proud.”
