“For me, being in a cooperative is like being in a marriage. There are good times and bad times, but you stay together because you know it will go on. That's the case with DMK. Our farm, with 650 dairy cows, is no small operation. We have been supplying the co-operatives from which DMK emerged since the fall of the wall. But at some point we reached our limit, were unhappy with the prices we were paid, saw management errors in the company, wanted to change customers - the marriage was on the rocks and we quit.

But in the end it was really the excellent field service that kept us with DMK. The personal support is strong and has won us over with its professionalism and accessibility. Even when I'm on holiday, I can call them if there's a problem. We are kept informed of the latest developments at DMK. I feel that I am taken seriously as a business owner, which is very important to me. 

We have also been able to obtain Farming Type 3 certification. We were also well advised on this. The accompanying preparation for farming changes is a unique selling point of DMK, so we now get a higher milk price for our farm, not to mention giving it a better image. We only needed one audit for this because we had already avoided genetically modified feed in advance. Thanks to Farming Type 3, we are much better equipped when it comes to visits from vets, for example, because we are encouraged to be more self-aware and therefore better prepared. I think the company is well positioned for the future.”
